Dr. Rudy Guevarra, Jr. is Assistant Professor in the Asian Pacific American Studies Program and Faculty Affiliate in the School of Transborder Studies at Arizona State University. He is co-editor and contributing author of Crossing Lines: Race and Mixed Race Across the Geohistorical Divide (Alta Mira Press 2005). Dr. Guevarra’s forthcoming book Becoming Mexipino: Multiethnic Identities and Communities in San Diego (Rutgers University Press) examines Mexipino identity within the context of Mexican and Filipino interethnic relationships and shared community histories.
